Our associate degree nursing program is designed as a bridge from Licensed Practical Nursing to Professional Nursing. Additional prerequisite courses, and two semesters of nursing courses provide the knowledge and hands-on skills you need to move up in the nursing field.
Through a combination of classroom learning, simulations and clinical experiences, you’ll have the opportunity to develop the nursing skills that will make you stand out in the job market.
The program is designed to prepare you to care for patients under the supervision of a physician or other health providers. This includes not only clinical patient-care skills, but also soft skills such as professionalism and effective communication.
The course prepares students for the licensing exam for Registered Nurses, called the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN exam).
Students first must complete several prerequisites before being accepted into this program. See Prerequisite Information for details.
